The Reader (Movie Tie-in Edition) (Vintage International)

The Reader - Bernhard Schlink This is a book that I have not thought about in years, until I saw the previews for its upcoming moving. I honestly tried to put it out of my mind and was shock to see it turned into a movie. This story is disconcerting, to say the least, and yet still captivating. I remember when I finished it I was incredibly agitated. Hmmm….signs of a good book!

The Awakening

The Grapes of Wrath

The Grapes of Wrath - John Steinbeck Reminds me of my father's family.

Caramelo

Caramelo - Sandra Cisneros Half way through and am in love with this story! An absolutely riot! Now that I"m done I can say I enjoyed this book. Her writing style here is different, it made me feel as if I was listening to her tell the story of her life and family. Little strange toward the end but heck who hasn't imagined seeing or talking to he dead!
